Build penguin boxes and explore the penguin colony with a Nature Park Ranger!
The ‘Penguin Protection Program’ gives your tour group the opportunity to help the Little Penguins at
Phillip Island’s Penguin Parade. Working with the rangers at Phillip Island on this 2 hour interactive, educational ecotourism project will ensure the survival of the Penguins on Phillip Island for future generations.
As a not for profit conservation organisation, Phillip Island Nature Parks needs all the help it can get! Your guests assist
the Australian Rangers to build homes for the smallest and cutest Penguins in the world, before heading down to
Summerland beach to experience sunset Little Penguin viewing.
This fully interactive ecotourism program has been specifically designed for student and special interest groups, looking for a unique educational experience with nature on Phillip Island.
The program includes;
Assisting the rangers to build your own Penguin Box (Participants will normally
build 1 box per 5 pax however it can be changed to suit your group)
Placement of your Penguin Box in a special part of the Summerland Peninsula
All tools and equipment
A private briefing and lecture from one of Phillip Island Nature Parks
qualified Rangers
‘Little Penguin watching’ with entry into the world famous Penguin Parade
A Certificate to signify that you have completed the Program and helped the
Penguins at Phillip Island
